Kicker CS 5.25s too weak, any car stereo guys here?

I went with a set of Morel Maximo 5 components up front. I fabbed up some tweeter mounts mounted to the door strap pin, which is the ideal location in most vehicles, even in a TJ. Dash mounted tweeters have abundant problems - distance from mid driver being too far as well as distance from...

New to Jeeps: lift kit questions

Welcome! It already looks lifted to me… check the heights of your springs. Front stock is 12” not including the isolator and rear stock is 8”.

    Quadratec 2.5" Lift Kit Question

Nice you got it buttoned up! Add a 1” motor mount lift (MML). It will likely fix your vibe issues, it did for me and many other jeepers. I recommend getting the aluminum spacer type to be used in conjunction with your stock motor mounts. Other types have been known to add unwanted vibrations...

    Quadratec 2.5" Lift Kit Question

Go back to the position you had the bolt half way through. You’ll need to twist the track bar to align the exiting hole with the exiting bolt end. Pipe wrench can work.

Expected extra bumpstop for 2.5" lift

I’m sure you would know this if you rethought about it real quick, but the addition of a body lift would not change the need for the 1” of bump stop. Shock travel (fully compressed here) is not affected by the presence of a body lift. However, if your tires require 2” of bump stop to keep...

Expected extra bumpstop for 2.5" lift

I needed slightly more than 2” in the front with B8525. Pretty much exactly 2” in the rear with B8518.

Sway bar is connected in the before picture, but not the after. That would account for the axles droop

Picture of the shock shaft remaining and it’s measured length?

    It just happened!

My BDS springs do not have any numbers on them. It makes the most sense that you have pro comp springs as they match their part numbers.

Let's talk optimal build for 31" tires

What do y’all think of measuring the distance between mounts and subtracting ~0.5” for the bushing. Wouldn’t this be close to a ride height number? This is how you could determine if a shock will fit for your needs.

Let's talk optimal build for 31" tires

In practice it is best to measure from the bar pin to the bottom of the stud, but then add whatever the bushing and washer will add. This measurement minus the collapsed length should be pretty close to the amount of shaft showing.
