    NSG370 popping out of reverse

My 120k 6 speed doesn’t properly engage in reverse maybe 10% of the time. It doesn’t pop out but won’t be engaged from the start. I read somewhere on here about going into 6th and then reverse and that’s made a noticeable difference in my success of it engaging.

Soft Top Decision Just Got Harder

Does anyone know if the skins ship separate/are packaged separate than the top? Or is it all packaged together in one box?

Pics of your Jeep with 15” wheels and a 2.5” lift

Ha I should have noted that. It was a deep clean day so fenders and rock guards were off. The Bushwacker fenders are hardwired and I was test fitting OEMs so that’s the BW sitting in there.

15x8 vs 17x9 wheels? Tire availability, price and load ratings?

These are 15x8 with the 3.75 offset with 33x10.5 K02s. I’m partial of course but like the look with plenty of sidewall. The 3.75 offset with the 10.5s have worked well. There’s no poke outside the fenders (but right on the edge) and has made my life easy since there’s less interference issues...

Stutter / Misfire - No Engine Codes, Running Out of Culprits

@ItchyDong Thanks for that. I’ll do some more work with the scanner and also do some 2x checking and tracing for the upstream 02 sensors. @TimV Thanks and do you have any other details on the wiring you replaced? For example, was it grounds and main power wires? Did you source them from used...

Stutter / Misfire - No Engine Codes, Running Out of Culprits

Hi all, had a bit of a hiatus while the Jeep was apart for new parts: suspension, oil pan, new cats, cooling system. Here’s what I’ve done since the last post and I’m still dealing with the same issue: Wrangler fix PCM- Mark noticed some issues when I sent mine in so I went for a new one. No...

Oil Pan Flatness - How Far Off Until Issues?

Update: Did some light work on the pan and reduced the bow by about half. I mounted it and used small, but strong spring clips on each corner to get everything flat. Then bolted up no problem. It’ll be a couple weeks of other work before I can test it but I’ll keep everyone posted. Thanks!

Oil Pan Flatness - How Far Off Until Issues?

@TJ Jim Good call should have posted that. This is with the passenger rear side held down (picture is driver front). Has slightly more play when holding against the block (likely flatter than my floor). @BlueC Good call, not much too lose and likely a small tweak will be enough @macleanflood...

Oil Pan Flatness - How Far Off Until Issues?

Hi all , just pulled the oil pan to replace the gasket. It had a steady seep (purchased this way late last year). During re-assembly (will be using Fel pro), I noticed that the pan isn’t 100% flat to the engine. I took it back off before adding any bolts. Laying it on a flat concrete slab and...

Stutter / Misfire - No Engine Codes, Running Out of Culprits

Thanks for the replies I’ll check into both. @MikeE024, thanks for the screenshots and extra info. Definitely a great point and ruling that out would be a major step. I’ll give them a call tomorrow for a few questions. The diagnostic service looks like a good option. Just will put me without...

Stutter / Misfire - No Engine Codes, Running Out of Culprits

Hi everyone, I held off as long as possible to post by using all the great resources but am now looking for those with more experience insights. This is a long one so hang in there! Background: 2006 LJR, 6MT, ~119k. I purchased it in Sept. 2023 and have been slowly working through all the...
