How to install a Ecoboost oil cooler / heater in a 4.0 and why

I installed the Mopar oil "cooler" and it fit up perfectly to my '04. My original goal was to reduce oil temp, but as I read this thread, it made sense to me that cooling effect would be very limited. Perhaps it will knock off the peak temps under high rev/load, but not otherwise. I installed...

    Rock Jock Springs Bowing Outwards

Just curious, did you try to rotate the spring around the bump stop (keeping the spring end in the notch)? It doesn't appear to be centered on the perch.

    Rock Jock Springs Bowing Outwards

It looks like the springs are off center at the lower bump stop and they may need to be rotated inward around the lower spring mount so the bump stop sits in the center of the spring.

Connect to a "y" strap on the axle connected near the spring perches. That should drop your angle significantly.

Rear wheels try to move further apart from each other while driving forward

Only other thing I can think of is a wallowed out or loose connection where the axle tube is pressed into the pumpkin. On the pic, it looks pretty solid on the drivers side, but can't tell what it looks like on the passenger side.

You don't have to build it all at once. Take your time, since there are multiple options out there for every mod, and based on how your build progresses might affect the best approach,ch for later mods. And if you do it all at once, then what are you gonna do?

Many body lift kits include hardware to adjust the transfer case linkage, if necessary. A cable shifter eliminates the need to adjust the linkage.

Based on the price range you appear to be considering, and eventual 35" tires, seriously consider the Savvy control arms - Johnny joints at both ends and double adjustable for all arms. These are what I run and would buy them again without question. Adjustable track bars front and rear are...

Jeep TJ defrost not blowing air

You may have a vacuum leak since the airflow doors are operated with vacuum actuators. When I had a similar issue, I found that a vacuum line had separated in the engine bay where it went through the firewall just above where the heater hoses connect to the heater core lines. I repaired the...

    Powersaws - what's everyone using?

My Jonsered CS2255 (20" bar) gets used for the bigger jobs and sometimes more because it's to dependable for a quick start. It's essentially a twin to the Husqvarna Rancher 455. My Stihl MS250 (16" bar) is a good mid-size, but you have to start it right or it's easily flooded. I still have my...

Strange electrical problem on 2006 TJ 4.0

I've experienced a similar event with my LJ. The wildly swinging gauges kind of freaked me out. I was hoping I didn't have some random short to hunt for. First thing I did was install a new battery and the problem was fixed. It may just be me, but my last 2 or 3 lead-acid batteries lasted...
