Back in business. Turns out the lug for the signal wire to the starter solenoid is broken/ loose. With a jiggle of the wire I was able to get it started.

I’m going to do some more testing today. It was cold and getting dark yesterday evening so I stopped messing with it for the night. The starter was replaced three years ago but I need to see if I’m getting 12v at the starter.

Got the wires back together but still won’t crank. I’m getting power to the starter relay. Fuel pump kicks on. I took the bottom off the PDC to check all the connections there and everything is good. Guess I’ll have to wait for the wife to get home to turn the key for me while I do some more...

Well fuck… PDC came loose and was riding on the passenger tire for a few miles apparently. Fixed a couple broken wires and still won’t start. Back to the drawing board. Of course it feels like 12* today here in sunny WV

I have no idea lol it does look well made compared to the parts store type. I haven’t had time to install it yet to see if it works or not though. I had went through a couple moto rad brand replacements and they were opening at like 140* F so a couple forum members recommended this one

After three long weeks my fancy thermostat finally arrived. Crazy it was marked shipped an hour after I purchased it. I emailed them once with no reply. A day later I finally saw movement with the tracking. I hope this fixes my underheating issues because I don’t want to keep beating a dead...

Hopefully this will fix my thermostat problem.

It gets to 150 ish while the engine is running. If I turn off the engine and then turn the key back on to the on position the gauge will read the normal 200 until I start the engine and the water pump starts to flow. I’m thinking Mac might be onto something with the shitty thermostat opening too...

I’m with you Mac. I almost tossed this one in a pot to test it but was racing the clock between jobs to get it back together so I could head to my second job on time. I saved the other one so I can test it anyway.
