Parts list for a TDI swap

Good catch. Another reason to not use an ALH.

Parts list for a TDI swap

Alright, you're going down the same line of thought I did with my builds. I needed more range and more power. the poor little 1.3L 4 banger had 64hp from factory at sea level in 1988, so probably 40 hp now... I was limited to 180ish miles on a full tank. Going from 17 to 32MPG helped a ton but...

Parts list for a TDI swap

I've done an ALH swap into a Samurai in the last few years and was looking to do it in my Jeep next. First off, I'd go with a CJAA or BEW over the ALH in a Jeep. reason being is the commonrail engines are a bit easier to get some power out of them and tend to have lower EGT when doing it...

What have you 3D printed for your TJ?

If you did, would your winch then match your Jeep? 🤔

Engine sputters when turning on high beams

Just a dumb idea, but get the thing back up to operating temp, then take your garden hose or a water bottle or whatever and spray the crank position sensor. If it runs normal again, replace it. I saw you messed with the OPDA and the cam position sensor, you ever mess with the crank sensor?

    Fire Extinguisher Rabbit Hole

The other problem you'd run in to is its not always just your rig in the engine bay that you're going to need to put out. It might be a buddies rig, a random stranger, or a fire someplace not under the hood. Handheld is a better way to go IMO just because of versatility.

What have you 3D printed for your TJ?

Its pretty mind blowing how far its come in the last 3-4 years. The first printer I owned was one I built from scratch on another 3d printer, plasma cut the frame out of the old skid plate from my dune buggy. I hobbed a bolt with a tap on the bridgeport to make the extruder. then I start...

All Known Speaker Enclosure / Pod & Adapter Options

I'll have to take a look once I get that far tomorrow. I need to run power still, and validate my cables are long enough from the stereo. Also, what coating did you go with on your floor? that looks phenomenal

All Known Speaker Enclosure / Pod & Adapter Options

I thought I recognized the username! I'm actually pretty please with the design so far, at least for the sub mount. I've not looked too close at the console tray yet but I don't foresee any complaints. By sheer luck I ordered the exact sub for that mount before I found your files. I've printed...

All Known Speaker Enclosure / Pod & Adapter Options

Found a mount you can 3d print to replace the factory sub with the JBL BassPro and a midland radio in the console. Kinda neat, I'll be printing one. https://www.printables.com/model/1351391-jeep-tj-center-console-jbl-basspro-nano-and-mtx-27

What have you 3D printed for your TJ?

Any reason it needs to be printed in that fairly flat orientation? I'd set it up on the back edge and print it vertically if its only for looks. it will take a lot of support material but should be fine otherwise. The rear will end up a bit more rough but the front and top will have a better finish.

What have you 3D printed for your TJ?

This is the stuff I've been using: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CKW2896L?tag=wranglerorg-20 I just tell the printer its the Bambu ASA-CF material for the print settings. Really happy with the results and the price is quite reasonable. No issues with it even with the .4mm nozzle. Edit: wrong...

Bond it or Screw it to Dashboard?

Perfect, I leave the files in your capable hands. 2040 t-slot aluminum extrusion would be a good option too. Maybe 4040 so its not so flimsy... But it is pricey... Unistrut is nice and cheap..... hmm.

What have you 3D printed for your TJ?

Well, many aren't going to believe this, but I've 3d printed something... thats actually for my Jeep! This was done with ASA-CF. I'm really starting to appreciate the heated chamber of the H2S though. Its really a game changer. Zero warpage on this part and it fits like a glove. I'll probably...
