Missouri 2006 Wrangler LJ 6-speed in Mid MO - $15K

Reluctantly selling my LJ, ongoing house addition and I have no time and need the funds. I shopped a long while to find this clean of a frame. Planned to keep it forever. But an old ankle injury has made clutching difficult. 145K Cold AC, Hot Heat, Rear Main does not Leak!!! It's on 32in...

    M-65 Field Jackets

I got a "new" surplus (Belgian/Dutch cant remember) last year from Coleman's. Its OK, but not great for real cold. I've bought lots of stuff from OldGrouch in NC over the years. He's back in biz after the floods. Really though a modern softshell (even cheap brand) with a zip out fleece layer...

Missouri LJ Soft Top and Frames in Mid, MO

I'm sorry. I'm juggling too many things. If you are anywhere near Meramec Caverns come on by. Otherwise I'm burning some PTO next week hoping to get my head above water

Oil Filter Housing / Cooler for 3.6 Pentastar V6

Wife has a 2015 MiniVan with the same 3.6 and we opted for the Dorman Aluminum replacement about 2yrs ago and 25K. Still working fine with no issues. I would recommend over the plastic.

Missouri LJ Soft Top and Frames in Mid, MO

Thinning my parts collection. My LJ was missing the top so I started hunting pieces and upgrading too much. I have: 1 - Complete LJ Soft Top in Black Vinyl? With side and rear windows. It is serviceable, but not great. I will get pics posted soon. $250 1 - Complete LJ Soft Top Frame Only...

How to fix small zipper separation?

Steal a Black/Purple/CornFlower/Whatever Crayon from a kid. Color the Zipper. I also pull down on the rear corner of the top to take some tension off and that seems to help the zipper make the corners.

2006 LJ in St Louis, MO - $15,995

I'm local to STL. That LJ has been listed off and on for well over a year. I've never looked at it in person, but the price is a little high for around here. That area has a long strip of used dealers. So it's either a ghost and gets recycled, or has serious frame issues.

    Welder opinions

A 240V capable would be ideal. I'd look at a Multi Voltage (MVP) Hobart Handler 210 that you could crank up on 240V on the thicker stuff, but still portable enough to run on 120V to weld up your gramma's patio furniture. I've prob run 500lbs of .035 fluxcore through my HH210 with no issues...

    2006 Manual Bezel Frustrations

My LJ had the factory sub in the factory console. The $100 used Tuffy I bought did not have provisions for the Sub so I deleted it. For the price I wasnt picky. I love the add'l space. I can fit a decent sized kit with tool rolls, stacked in there. I put a couple rivnuts in and mounted it...

1988 Jeep Comanche “Somebody stop me”

Front doors forward is all XJ. Wiring can be an issue: parking lights, blinkers/turns in the fender do a ground thing to blink and can be finicky. The early Renix computer was basic and reliable but would flake out with heat and it would have to cool off. A borla header wakes them up. I had...

    2006 Manual Bezel Frustrations

I have an 06 LJ stick. I put a used Tuffy Center Console in from an automatic, so I had to do some fab work and made a plate to hold the boot. I retro fitted the earlier accordion rubber boot. I may still have the bag/trim for the shifter in the shop.

    Non-4WD Jeep

I owned a couple of VW Things (other aircooled too) and for a 2WD they do VERY WELL in the slick stuff. That Thing was a beast in the Snow being rear engined and rear wheel drive. Little under steer in the turns, but it went everywhere. The Gas Espar Heater in the '73 was a little scary but...

What kind of insulation should I use for this shed?

Hard to judge size?? 10 or 12 x16?? I'd go rockwool the cost premium wont matter much on that small of space, mice dont like it, and slightly more efficient. 2x4 wall is R12 or R15 at best. Are you going to keep it heated 24/7 during the Winter season? Or just heat when you are out there...

Congratulations to OldBuzzard on winning the January 2025 ROTM contest!

I've read the whole build thread 3 times through. Maiking plans for my rig which is same color and similar uses planned, albeit I'm stuck in MO. Once the house addition is done and the garage is cleaned out the Silver LJ moves in. Great Build!!
