What did you do to your TJ today?

Went to do a quick oil change, and the plug just spun in place.. Result in a new oil pan, gaskets, rear main seal, new cats, heck, why not, a new exhaust and o2 sensors. Still cheaper than changing oil in my diesel :)

    TJ started long duration cranking

I'm going to bring back an old thread because I'm having this issue today and can't quite figure it out. The battery tested fine. It cranks for maybe 5 seconds, then starts. Even after being warm for a while it always takes about 5 seconds. Cranks really strong no stuggle. I've tried the key...

    Never recommending Rock Auto again

I do order from Parts Avatar, but for many products their total price, including currency and taxes/duty, is higher and shipping takes 2 to 3 times longer. Set of timken wheel hubs would be Parts Avator - $355.88 and here in 8-10 days Rockauto - $288.05 and here in 3 days Set of spicer ball...

    Never recommending Rock Auto again

I have noticed their shipping department has gone downhill, but I still find them better than anyone else. Here in Canada, I'm limited, and ordering locally will often take months for parts to get in. Amazon: I'd say 20% of the time, I end up getting a part that someone has returned with a fake...

    U-joint replacement

Just go slow and reset if things aren't feeling right. Sometimes when putting the caps on the little rolling can come out of place. I hate doing the job and its a weird when in that when I do them on the trail it always going way too smooth but in my shop I always run into some frustration.

Which ball joints are the best for my Jeep Wrangler TJ

Knurled — any big recommendations on a Jeep where the spicers press in/out by hand? I found another post that recommends Moog K3161T - Lower Moog K3134T - Upper Just saw this other thread — https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/in-which-we-discuss-knurled-ball-joints.77799/ I have the spicer...

What is this and do I need it?

It was put in to help with vapour lock in the later model Tjs. Not a bad idea to have it. I oddly just replaced mine yesterday. Its not a very pricey piece and while I had the intake off I decided to replace mine which had turned into mush.

    Stubby rear bumpers

For me, on my LJ, I need the extra corner protection. The poison spyder corners I have help, but when you drop off a rock in an LJ, and it doesn't go right, and you end up hitting upwards on the body, those corner protectors only do so much. I know this because I run the Poison Spyder BFH II...

When to just replace parts more of a discussion then question

Perfect, thanks, everyone, for the suggestion so far — I've updated my original post to include the oil pump and pickup valve and I'll do the OPDA since I had no idea when it was done (if ever). The O2 sensors I have are NTK — and I did just replace the belt and tension thingy because I had...
