I used the Felpro sump gasket, as it came with the locating dowels and no-one had reported any issues with it.

Just an update, still bone dry after a year! Regarding oil, I'm using 10w-30 Castrol high mileage semi synthetic oil. So far, so good 👍.

Yeah that's right, regarding the offset in the seal. I didn't do it this time around though because there's a chance you'll cut the seal when installing, and you won't know it until it leaks again. Some people have had success with the offset but it certainly adds more risk so I kept it flush.

I'd be checking your opda again, only because I had something similar happen. When I checked it after replacing it, I didn't do the clamp tight enough and had bumped at some stage. I then just got the motor to TDC, lined up the opda pin and re tightened the clamp and it was all good 👍.

I find that on the Tj there are some great aftermarket OEM parts for steering, suspension etc, but when it it comes to cooling and sensors, Mopar only.
