    Steering Box Upgrade

I installed the PSC box / pump with Blaine's Cooler. Steering is definitely lighter on road as Blaine says. I haven't done anything I would consider "Hard Core" but I've done some trails and haven't wanted for more steering power. PSCSR-VT - PSC REMOTE ANTI-SPLASH RESERVOIR W/ PRESSURE RELEASE...

DIY weight scale 4 corners, sprung weights

Blaine, I use hydraulic cylinders and jacks to test and lock-off tieback anchors to varying loads. Similar to the one below. I could easily see a hydraulic cylinder being modified with extensions to bolt in place of a shock. The math is not hard and a materials testing lab can typically...

    Rocky Mountain Billy Goat Build

Same here, no oil that I can tell. I removed the head as well since I drilled and taped the head for NPT Fittings at the same time.

Tire Decision In Absence of 35x12.50x15 MT/R

Today I had the Cooper STT Pro installed. Can't believe how much better the steering characteristics are with new tires. The previous condition was no fault of the MT/R. They were 12 years old and quite worn out. First pavement impressions of the Coopers are good. Not near as loud as the worn...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Is that throttle closed position? I hate that mine is ~90 degree's to shifter when closed. Got any more info on that shifter?

Well that would solve my problem for the better part of a decade...

Those look like they are wearing really well! How much rock time have those seen? Outside lugs of of MT/R's are all rounded off.

So no Falken and no General. Strong feelings about the Coopers or Mickey Thompson options?

I think the Wildpeak is what comes stock on the JL's with the mud terrain option? That's also what Savvy run's on their KOH car. The pattern kinda reminds me of the old BFG KM's. I don't think @mrblaine spoke very highly of them in a previous thread but the can't be too bad if they won KOH.

Tire Decision In Absence of 35x12.50x15 MT/R

That reminds me of all the times I spun the tire on the wheel with 16's. I don't miss those days! That sounds promising! No sidewall problems? What's leading your list of replacements?

That's surprising since they are 3 lbs heavier than the coopers. I don't want to be the guinea pig though. I like your plan, minus the cost. Especially the wheels you're going with. I considered running my original 16" Moabs with MT/Rs but those are E rated.

Tire Decision In Absence of 35x12.50x15 MT/R

No other changes required, poor wording on my part. I ran the numbers on 17's (New wheels or Takeoff's and Adapters & more cost per tire for 17's) and I can't justify the costs. I replaced my steel beadlocks with new aluminum wheels a couple of years ago. Bigger brakes would be a positive side...

Co-worker ran these on his JK with good luck. However I wasn't considering them as his didn't seem to last very long.

Not sure. Tire rack show's country of origin for all my choices is US. Not sure what that means. Information I found is MT is made in USA and since Cooper makes MT I assumed Cooper's were America.
