    Which Baofeng?

Just gotta decide between HF or 2/70 for in the Jeep, Yaesu FT-510DRASP is a good looking radio, or an 891. Always cruising the classifieds too in case something pops up

    Which Baofeng?

I'd like to get an 891 or something to start working 10/20/40/80/160 meter bands but like you said, minimum is gonna be like a grand to get going

    Which Baofeng?

I was the other way around, studied my ass off for Technician and somehow got a 27, then a 32 on General. I think the tech was because I got tons of digital questions which is my weak area. Tons of activity on the 2m band here, large linked repeater system here. My handheld was talking to Idaho...

    Which Baofeng?

Passed my Tech and General a couple weeks ago, picked up a Yaesu FT-5DR, but I'm using Ham for more than just trail comms so a $350 handheld probably isn't for everyone

One of my rear bumper threads are stripped.

You're right, those are under tension while they are clamping the bumper down, my scenario would only be true if they come loose, which is already a failure

One of my rear bumper threads are stripped.

Since it's the lower ones going up to 1/2" would be better, the 4 on the face of the bumper experience tension where threads matter, but the lower 2 are under shear stress where the area of the cross section of the bolt comes into play more than the threads do, a 1/2" bolt is about 12% stronger...

One of my rear bumper threads are stripped.

You can use 1/2-20, but as stated they are easier to mess up and will be affected by crap getting in them more than the coarse thread will. I'm assuming this is one of the lower 2.

One of my rear bumper threads are stripped.

I'd probably use a 27/64" drill bit and tap it to 1/2"-13, but thats me. Or install a nutsert that size. All of mine were switched to through bolts when I switched to a flat trail plate or whatever name you want to give it, except the bottom 2, and I have 10 total bolts now.

    PRP Seat Mega Thread

Daily Drivers in grey, an off the shelf option. Fixed back, comfortable on long trips, about $400 each iirc. Will eventually replace with a set of enduro crawls but the trashed stock ones had to go and these fit the budget at the time. Would recommend 10/10.

Need advice on re-gearing / fitting 33s with a 2 inch front level

To fix your speedometer you have 2 options. One is to buy a new gear with the correct amount of teeth for your tire size and gear ratio, very easy to install, 2 minutes tops. Search on here, theres a chart that tells you which gear you need. Option 2 is a speedohealer or equivalent product...

    Calling all HAMs, antennas?

I got bit by the HAM bug from a friend, studying for my Technician and General exams, maybe Extra too. I'm looking at antennas and am curious what yall use? Radio I'm eyeing is a Yaesu FT-510.

SS SYE users: Is your SSSYE loud?

I have the same one, dead quiet for me, also picked mine up from tom woods. Only weird thing I had happen was the bolt for the sensor was 1/4-28 instead of the 1/4-20 it's supposed to be
