Scrat 2.5 to Scrat Limited 5.9

I wanted to be sure my eyes weren't throwing me - lol Plenty of metal on those bumpers to 'bump' off a top - done that plenty themself. Also seen the door latches used to pop one — but I am not one to take issue on another one being available 🍻 Especially how inconspicuous that one is... I...

Sab-a-dab-a-doo! The back-country LJ build has officially started

Looks great!! Congrats on overcoming the hurdles and getting a great product! Although as I caught up on this thread - I was very disappointed to read this part. 27? You thought that would be enough? ;) Been fun watching along - can't wait to see your next, even more complicated, prints...

It is a great product - super well designed & built. Tough to tell from the pictures but is that a bottle opener on the lower-left screw for your license plate?

I will just share (re-iterate) that I've adopted 'Gyroid' as my go-to infill. It seems more random and leaves less commonly-spaced 'voids' than other infills — and I fell the periodic voids don't offer the same strength as something a-periodic-'ish'. I have not imperial data - but offer as a...

Tree hybrid is my 'go to' support on any build needing supports. Strong, easily comes off final print, minimal material - usually a trunk that will then branch out when it gets to a large flat area.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Toss me in as another learner — I've seen the acronyms, figured out the definition based off context but glad to now know the details.

    It just happened!

Looks awesome!! If it has adjustability - did you run locktite and/or nylocs? How are you thinking to run the camera? I'm mentally prepping on the same challenge with my @Fluxor corners and the MORryde hinges & mounting plate (already had the in my build pile before @Fluxor hinges hit the...

What have you 3D printed for your TJ?

Looks awesome! I'm coming over - what are we putting on the screen? I'm probably take a box of each... 😋 I was trying to kill a roll of Polymaker from my old Ender printer — it too broke off at the head a couple times. When it broke the latest time within in the belly of the AMS — about...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Zorba, Do you remove and vent out the winch cover? I've always been curious about these whether they protect from environmental vs capture humidity and foster rust. Old thinking for Jeeps from the factory was to remove spare tire covers to avoid fostering rust. I don't know how true this...

100% I have printed off so many custom parts for the garage - especially tool organization/storage. Many I've designed. I love this capability. I like the feedback! I took no offense. Honestly, that shear-effect hadn't crossed my mind but it should have. So I'll have your voice in my...

Sab-a-dab-a-doo! The back-country LJ build has officially started

It's a fair point. They're 3" discs - so not as heavy at a 4-45" (especially when compared as a stack). But I did pick up a 25pk (which I've since misplaced - of course — likely in with all the Christmas gifts I haven't wrapped yet 😄 ). I was more thinking of the smoothness of the shaft...

Sab-a-dab-a-doo! The back-country LJ build has officially started

Hmm... I did see the test builds but didn't recall this issue of the supports not releasing. Have you been drying your filaments? I was religious about that at first, but since, I just run them fresh from the bag. But - with this issue, maybe try running your next roll through the printer's...

Sab-a-dab-a-doo! The back-country LJ build has officially started

This is very surprising. I've never had an issue like this with the Bambu PETG HF. The only thing I've had come close was where that last later between the trees and the 'keep' surface pulled a couple strands of the 'keep' material when it came off. You seem to have the opposite that it won't...
