Jeeps have been part of my life for about 75 years now after my father purchased a 47 CJ 2A in 1950 which resulted in an addiction to both Jeeps and mountains. I learned to drive in the 2A in the mid 50's.
The current derelict Jeep collection includes 1949 2A, 49 3A, 51, 57, 62 wagons, 57 FC 170. The plated collection is more limited: 1955 CJ 3B, two 1968 CJ 5's (both V6 and nearly stock), and the 2006 TJ Rubicon which replaced a 2012 JK Rubicon Unlimited I cussed for a dozen years.
The only unmolested parts remaining in the 1955 Willys CJ 3B it left Toledo with are the output shafts of the D18. The only molested parts it left Toledo with are the frame and windshield frame, both significantly modified. Glass tub/fenders, aluminum hood/grill, obese 441 aluminum SBC, 4 spd, Dana 44/ARB's, York OBA, Warn 8274.
In addition to the Jeep hobby, I still enjoy getting into the "sticks" hiking and backpacking along with skiing.
