The reverse lights worked just fine last night… can’t explain that at all. I don’t like intermittent issues. The weather is getting colder at night. I may have to start thinking about putting the Jeep up for the winter.

I tried this running around over the weekend. I had a hoodie stuffed up in there. It stayed up there just fine but started to peek out on the highway above 75 mph. Those speeds are pretty rare, though, so I'd say generally it's a good spot to stash stuff.

OK - I found the reason for the straps today, and I'm going to start using them again. One of the rear straps popped loose on the way home while the sunrider was up. I pulled over and took a look at it, and I realized that when the top is up the only thing keeping the fabric from sliding toward...

Front bow is gone. Funny how much more open the top looks without that 2" wide strip of aluminum. I undid the two buckles at the B-pillar roll bars and let the straps hang. It's still a little bunched up because the webbing is still pinched between the pods and the roll bar. I think the straps...

It bunches on my LJ. Looks weird. I haven't tried without the straps. Maybe I'll do that later today.

Don't notch the foam! Notch the pod!!! Those pods are probably $30 unloaded. The roll bar covers though... almost unobtanium for LJs.

That took a little time for me. On the passenger side, it slid right through. Driver side, the speaker pod left no room and I needed to loosen it up. If I want to remove/reinstall the fabric only, it won't be tool-less unless I space that pod out a bit.
