    KO2 Sidewall Cracking

Yeah I've been in the Four Corners area for about 6 months now and definitely believe that. Picked up a new set of Falken Wildpeaks just before moving down here and am very interested to see how long they last.

Here's their response: "The grading and maintenance occurring in the Yankee Hill area is focused on ensuring access for emergency vehicles. Both 175.1 and 739.1 are routes used to reach many areas of the forest, including the Columbine Campground, so the work is designed to help the roads be...

I sent an email to the ranger district to see if they're willing to give out any info on it, but that would make sense. It also kinda seems like the Feds are getting sick of dealing with OHV stuff so that might be playing a role too.

Been a while since I posted on here but thought this was worth sharing. Ran Yankee Hill today and it looks like the FS grated from the trailhead on the central city side up to past the shooting range. No idea if they're gonna keep going or not but the tracks looked like it'd been done in the...

Tell me about your personal location beacon

The InReach is pretty standard in the outdoor industry for guides now. I'd stay from Spot beacons. From what I've read they use the same satellites as Apple does for the iPhones and Apple takes priority over Spot so a lot of people have been having issues even just sending messages.

How many of y'all have your rear seats out a majority of the time? I've been thinking about pulling mine out since 95% of the time it's just me and maybe a buddy. Extra space would be nice...

Utah BLM closing around 1/3rd of the trail miles near Moab

I mean let's be honest, some user groups are infinitely more...not dipshits than others. Climbers, MTBers, most hikers, and Jeeps give a lot more of a shit about recreating responsibly and ethically than Jimbo in his new RZR. In the end, it comes down to education, but some people just don't...

Random photos: Got anything interesting, unique, strange?

Top of Grays Peak Saturday morning. Glad I got at least one summit this season. Hopefully the weather hold out for another week or two.

    Show Us Your Camp Photos

I assumed you built the trailer yourself, but I meant the actual tailgate on your Jeep. I wasn't very specific in my half asleep attempt at a question.

That's a sweet tailgate setup. Did you fabricate it yourself or is it an aftermarket one?

    Used Tacoma Prices

For sure. Definitely not planning on wheeling in it like I do in my Jeep. Just something to get me back into some alpine lakes and to some climbing crags. That makes sense. My experience is almost entirely with TJs so the IFS world is something I need to spend some more time researching...

Is there anything like chro-mo axle shafts for them? I have zero experience with IFS so I'm not super familiar with how to beef them up.

Yeah I've definitely come to realize that a TJ is a great second car. Far from the worst DD, but also far from the best. Did a 14er this weekend with some friends and we were planning on taking my car and then realized that there was absolutely no way we were going to fit the 4 of us with gear...
