Recently while driving my 2000 4.0 after start up, the engine would shut down while in the first 30 seconds, to 2 minutes or so of being on. Always turned right back on but yesterday it happened and then the engine just cranked ... about 5000 miles ago I replaced the fuel pump and injectors...

Im runing into this same issue after replacing upstream O2 with an NTK. ran fine for about 20 miles then 0171 code, and can see a considerable decrease in gas mileage, as I had to drive it about a hundred miles to work while my reg car was in the shop... Im definitely hearing the squeak from...

I agree. I actually went through and spent time to like other people’s pics today but it was def difficult to keep up with the names without a pad and pen handy 🤷🏻‍♂️

Was just thinking some black tips would look nicer than my rusty ole stick tip, but ya you’re right

I just replaced both sensors with walkers as well. I’ll check that coil pack too . 🤜🏼🤛🏼

reading posts, and have this same issue on my 2000 4.0. I replaced both o2 sensors, and still getting a lean bank 1 code after a month of light driving. I did not however know about the pcm reset procedure... Any instructions here would be appreciated... Nic

Yes all that makes sense. I think my brain got tricked when i go to rockauto to see the different options and i see 180,160,195 and it dawned on me that that must help keep the temps down. Thanks everyone for dummying it down 😆

ok I feel like a dummy now, but I wonder why they offer both other temps in thermos if there is no real purpose? My other experience with them was a decade ago or so with my v8 Camaro and had I higher hp rating than stock and had a lil better performance with the 160 thermo rather than the 180.
