Colorado Cummins R2.8 diesel converted Rubicon LJ

Yeah I’m not sure what the market will be on these with the newer jeep ecodiesels that were available for a few years. It’s a very cool set up but the new jeeps are pretty comfortable lol

Colorado Cummins R2.8 diesel converted Rubicon LJ

Thanks! Any recommendation on other places I could list this where I might get more people looking for this kind of build? I've been out of the LJ crowd for a while but I'm sure this is still a desirable build for someone?

Colorado Cummins R2.8 diesel converted Rubicon LJ

It has come time for my parents to sell their jeep. After much hesitation from my father over the last year I have convinced him to part with it. In their older age it’s not the most comfortable for them and getting a little more difficult to get in and out. So here it is, their 2005 Rubicon LJ...

More pics of an old barn find

The cut out in the dash your talking about was standard with or without the column shift. The hole is in the floor that I’m talking about above the steering column, maybe looks like a rectangle if you zoom in the first picture, a little hard to see but visible. Your are correct, that...

More pics of an old barn find

A quick look at the dash and you can determine this is indeed a DJ3A with the round gauge cluster which included the speedometer, fuel level and temperature. The traditional cj2a and cj3a dash had five separate gauges. Also I would say this originally was a column shift as you can see a decent...

A/C loses its charge, can’t find the leak

I’d do it yourself after having a shop evac the system completely. It’s really not that bad of a weekend project and you get more experience Working on your jeep plus probably doing a better job taking your time then paying someone else to throw it together as fast as they can. Just my opinion

Jeeps parking next to other cool things!

Brought my 1945 Ford jeep to the airport and got to ride in one of the first airliners a 1929 Ford tri motor. Fun day!

Vintage (or just older classic) pics of Jeeps

Thought I'd share some pictures of a few jeeps I bought and sold in high school. Still have a couple of them to this day.

Wanting a CJ or should I keep the TJ?

If your paying 20 to 30k for one I wouldn't expect it to have any issues if its been fully restored. I have had 3 CJ7s around the 10 to 15K price range and no real major mechanical problems. The 4 speed I had popped out of 3rd when going down a hill but again if its been restored everything...

Wanting a CJ or should I keep the TJ?

I think it all depends what your doing with the jeep. If its a weekend driver the CJ would be a lot of fun, If its an every day driver the TJs are much more comfortable with the more modern comforts that come with them. I've had almost every model jeep from the 1940s to 2005. If I had room I'd...

Where can I find parts for a 1969 DJ5 Jeep?

Not sure what parts your looking for and I’m not very familiar with the dj jeeps but I’ve heard they have some stuff that is interchangeable with the cj. some willys suppliers I have used over the years are Walcks4wheeldrive, kaiserwillys.com and g503parts but the last one mainly deals with...

    V8 Swap, Diesel?

I had a 4BT Rubicon LJ. That jeep was bad ass but I move a lot so couldn't justify keeping it with the size of it. If I was to build another diesel jeep I'd probably try the 3.9L ISB.
