Just spent nearly an hour reading this entire thread! What a great build! I wasn’t a big fan of yellow TJs but yours has definitely changed my mind! I love that you made it very capable while still keeping the classic look.
I got a lot of inspiration from your rig and the picture of your previous white tj is almost exactly the vision I have for mine since mine is white as well!
Also I know a lot of other people have said it but the color matched headlight bezels are great!

When you have time read through some of the other build threads. There is a lot of great ideas
and information to the had. I've gotten a lot of my ideas from others builds.
Exactly the same concept. Pull cap and discard. Pull striker off bottom and strike top to initiate the chem reaction. Very easy.
And my white TJ with a 2.5 inch lift and 31’s went everywhere! It started it all for me. The only reason I sold it was the 2.5L engine. It was more lucrative to sell and then buy than to do an engine swap so I found this yellow TJ and I’m glad I did. It instantly made me think of the twister truck even though it is a TJ
Btw that old Jeepster 4 wheel drive badge in your avatar is awesome! Was it a restored original or did you have that made?
No I bought that, its a repop. Needed something to cover the plate bolt holes.
And it's still CLEAN.... I don't think mine has looked that clean in YEARS.

I have that book, I like it. I would like to start at the beginning and just go all the way through it.
X2. It's a great book. I bought it after using his utah book which is also great. My only complaint is the rating system. I wish it had a diamond rating, or something similar, because the red (hard) seems a bit broad.
Dream trip. Just pack up the rig, grab the trusty guide book and start working your way down California one trail at a time!
