What did you do to your other vehicle today?

Not today, but Tuesday. Our daughter rear/ended a car that just slammed on their brakes. The cops said if it wasn’t for the dash cam they would have put her down at fault. Also insurance saw the dash cam video and also said not her fault. She swerved in hopes to avoid it. Shoved the axle back about 3”. Been at the shop since Wednesday and haven’t heard a word.

Wow. Never seen a control arm failure like that. Hope everyone's ok

Something big took out the drivers side headlight and a trim piece on my wife’s 2021 Subaru Impreza. Gone are the days of easy headlight replacement. This is how far you have to disassemble it to replace the headlight:

😳

Of course, the trim piece isn’t in stock, so it’ll sit like this until Tuesday. 😩

At which point you'll promptly forget how it goes together...

Similar to what a water pump, thermostat, and PCV valve replacement looks like on an Audi A7.

I changed the front wheel bearings on my 2018 Crosstrek today. Not as bad as changing the rears, but not a good time either.

The old driver's side wheel bearing was surprisingly quiet, but the passenger side sounded like 2 pieces of concrete rubbing together. My daughters drive this car, and the front passenger tire and wheel have struck many curbs. I'm guessing that's why the passenger wheel bearing was toast.

Last night, after 11 years and a lot of fun, mods, and miles, I sold the only truck I've ever bought new. I did the math (aka asked Google) and I had the truck for exactly 4000 days. We've moved on to a newer, bigger, nicer truck for a new season of adventures, but it was still bittersweet. I managed to sell it without ever listing it and it's going to someone that will enjoy it and use it. I never thought I would be emotional over selling a truck, but it hit me pretty hard yesterday. Life changed a lot, but Stella (the truck) was always constant. Thought I was going to have to White Fang her to rip the bandaid off! lol

Here's a little collage my wife made. This was the first picture she took of me with it, and the last. The pictures inside were our last little drive around the driveway to say goodbye!

2015? Hell, that's brand new!

Last weekend I put a 93 Mustang T5 and some hydro clutch stuff in a car that I have owned since 90 or 91 and hasnt run since 99 :D

And got the clutch pedal added. auto pedal cut down to manual width, and the whole mess back in the car.

I have put this stupid thing on the back burner for too long and I feel much lighter with that progress 😁

Nice! I've got an MDL T5 kit in my '66. You are going to love it.
