First post, but I want to say thank you to this Forum as I read quite a bit about my Jeep TJ after I picked it up about a month ago.

I've read in multiple places this is a unicorn so to speak. I'm new to this all as it's my first Jeep. My question is, if you personally put it up for sale; what price would you put on it?

2006 Wrangler Unlimited
17,500 miles
7 speaker system
Chipped Keys

It had been covered under a tarp for about 16 years, under the cover of trees. I got it home and after a battery, oil change, fuel pump, injectors, and good fuel it started right up.

Since then I added a 2.5" lift, track bar, lug adapters, newer used Rubicon rims, headlights, turn signals, replacement speakers, wipers, spark plugs,

Everything works. It seems to run absolutely great. I have all the original parts, even the chrome Mopar grill cover I pulled off.

Thanks again for the posts/forum, it was helpful in working on this TJ.

Looks nice and I might be tempted to ask even more than $20K. One thing I would have rather seen though as a prospective buyer of a cream puff is all original, not someone else's mods. I understand though you probably did them with the thought of keeping it. BTW what is that parked behind it?

You can always drop the price if you list it too high.

If you have the time, there’s no harm is asking for closer to $27k or $30k even if you end up selling it for closer to $20k.

It doesn’t make sense to give it away, and $20k with that mileage seems too low for an initial asking price.

Figure out what you want for it, then list it higher. When I bought my stock Rubicon, the guy listed it for $9800. I brought $9500 cash (the following morning) on a Sunday and got it. He had so many calls/emails that he said, "Damn, I guess I should have asked more for it." To which I replied, "Too late now."

Cannot beat the OEM factory look. Tj/lj rubis off the line look so damn good.

Search on here to see what others sold for. Also FB marketplace is a good place to look for comp sales or for sale.
Need a few pics of underside and inside.

https://webejeeping.com/vehicles/jeep-lj These guys always have nice Jeeps and are not the lowest cost, good comp.
(They put premium on low miles evidently. TJ's)

Plus: LJ, low miles, auto ? looks great if you like black. Minus: no hardtop, black, some mods. Good luck. D

(any more than $20k is optimistic, but you never know)

Am I reading this right? It sat for 16 years outside under a tarp without being started or driven?

Personally I would rather have a 100K+ Tj that was driven regularly than a 16.5K one that sat under a tarp for 16yrs. Too many parts that were not lubricated for all those years. Parts deteriorate over time not just miles.
There are a limited amount of people who have $20K to drop on a 19yr old vehicle. That being said you only need to find that one guy.
