I have seen virile masculine young man with testosterone as low as 200.

A nurse practitioner told me she has seen numbers that were just double digit in teens. Literally lower than a female.

What in the world is our diet and environment doing to our young men?

Alex Jones knows why ;)

Seriously though, he (and many others) have talked about why this is happening.

Heck, I'm fairly certain Bobby Kennedy has spoken about this many times.

We're being poisoned by big agriculture (and others) so that we can be sold "cures" by big pharma.

Every since we started making all our food, raising our own fruits and vegetables, and buying from local farmers, the difference has been astounding. I can't even begin to tell you.

The same ones who sell the sickness also sell the cure.

One of the specific theories I've heard repeated recently is that our bodies use cholesterol to make testosterone, and our diets have been engineered to lower cholesterol to avoid heart disease. Along with that it was claimed that the relationship between cholesterol and heart disease is turning out to be correlation, not causation.

Its all very interesting for sure. My YouTube algorithm has picked up on it and is showing me lots of "alternative" diet info like carnivore and arguments that maybe we shouldn't even be eating plants at all. I'm 100% on board with most of what RFK Jr wants to do like eliminating dyes and stuff that most of the rest of the world won't eat, like glyphosate, but I haven't quite figured out whether I believe in enough of it to just eat steak and eggs fried in butter for every meal. As delicious as it would be it's hard to go against everything I've been programmed with since childhood without a lot more evidence.

I think the carnivore diet differs for everyone. I did it for several weeks and noticed a huge boost in energy, metabolism, muscle growth, and weight loss. Another byproduct was that I wasn’t near as hungry and didn’t need to eat near as much all the time. The key is you should be eating all organic/grass fed/free range any time you can. I was eating steak, tilapia, chicken, bacon, and eggs. Cheese and butter are encouraged as healthy fats. Seasonings are pretty much prohibited except salt and pepper.

I’m not sure it’s for everyone, but it works for me and I think my boost on energy was due to better testosterone production.

I think it stems from a childhood that lacks the word 'NO'. ;)

Can I like this twice Chris.

I concur with so much of these responses-

The food hormones, sedentary screen sucking vs. physical exercise and massive chemicals we absorb daily- before we leave the house we coat our bodies.

I slowed down eating processed food. I eat 3 to 6 eggs a day fried in butter for breakfast. Six on lifting days. Way more chicken and beef. Protein heavy diet. I have a garden for vegetables.

I need to tweek my diet some more and cut down some on Bourbon :(and drinking to lose weight. But my health is greatly improved compared to 2-3 years ago.

Last year I began noticing symptoms of potential gout. Out of nowhere, my feet started hurting; it was as if I had stubbed my entire foot on the coffee table kind of pain.
It wasn't good, and it was in both feet.
It happened again after another beer-fueled weekend last November, so I stopped drinking completely and altered my diet to include less red meat.
That helped, but the discomfort was still present, so I talked to my Dr and got a script for Allopurinol (sp?), which also helped.

I was encroaching on 270 pounds and according to the BMI chart at my Dr's office, I'm too short. ;)
I'm not a small guy at 6'3", but since I couldn't figure out how to get to 6'9", I decided to do something about it in the spring of '24.

I bought new tires and tuned up the old Cannondale road bike (which I hadn't ridden for about the past 5 years due to a knee injury and replacement surgery).

I ride most days now, with a 15 mile out-and-back to the beach as my short route, and a 32 mile ride as my preferred workout (when time, weather, etc. permits).
I've already logged in over 160 miles this month in only 5 workouts.
I have been riding routinely now since the spring and I have lost over 30 pounds without taking any meds or including any other workout routines.

I have WAY more energy these days and now I can probably safely discard the XXXL shirts & size 42 pants.

I was 270 lbs at 6-3". Now I'm 255-260. But I lift weights and have lost ~3" off my waist according to my belt and added inches to my chest and arms.

I rode my bike 1,100 miles until it got cold and dark again and lift 2-3 times a week. I want to get to 240 lbs with how I'm working out. I started at 11 miles a ride and ended at 25 miles. Lifting started with 2-20lb freeweights and I'm up to 2-40 and 50 lb dumbells for different exercises. Buying them is cheaper than a gym membership and working out at home is less hassle.

Leg day/cardio is biking or elliptical. I need to hit the elliptical harder, but it's so boring. I need to up my situps and core, but I don't care for those either.

Exercise and diet definitely play a role as my new "old man" doctor runs blood tests before each visit. So we're tracking everything.

It was a bit of a mistake to put the workout area next to the bar.
