North Carolina List of Carolinian off-roaders

Anyone have plans this Saturday? I will be heading to uwharrie for a day trip if anyone wants to meet up. Weather should be decent.

My early April Windrock trip was a blast. Came out with a bent lower control arm bracket, dented windshield frame and some new skid marks.

Not a bad day yesterday. Weather was really good. At the outpost, was asked if I could guide the two JLU’s, so let them tag along. With Dickey bell closed, did almost all the trail system minus the lake view trail. More broncos and SXS’s than jeeps it seemed.

When I was there a few weeks ago, it was almost all SXS and dirt bikes. Where's your son at? How's he liking his ride?

He turns 16 in August so not yet there. Plus, his Jeep is on jack stands. Waiting on BMB front brake setup in the mail and a few more things that needs taken care of before he officially hits the road.

Before I pull the diff covers off again, did all TJ’s with the rear 35 come with 3.73’s or 3.07’s? The rear is missing the plate that shows it.

As far as know, 3.07 was the most common, but factory options were 3.07, 3.55, 3.73, 4.11, 4.56, so you'll need to look for a stamp or count teeth to know for sure. It seems like I read that 4.56 was only available on 4-cylinders, but that might be wrong.

Hey @Jamesval035 I have a set of good factory 35 axles and a like-new set of spider gears (I put less than 5000 mile on them before swapping to a locker). If you want any of that, just let me know. I can easily send the spider gears and if you want the axles I'll just meet you at Uwharrie one day.

Thanks for the offer. I’ve been searching for a Dana 44 to replace the 35. Just something that we can get to try our hand at regearing.

Ya I’ve see his. I’ve been thinking about grabbing it but haven’t found a reason to head over that way. Plus I’ve been real busy with chores on the weekends.

Aiming to have my build daily drive-able again by middle of May. I would be in for any trips after that

Hows your build going by the way? I saw you have a Dana 44 for sale. I live over in Raleigh, if its still forsale i'd like to come grab it to swap my Dana 35 with!

Build is on pause for a few weeks bc I am moving. I do have the 44 and would absolutely love to not move it.
