New Wizard / BMB tail lights?

Figures. But, no worries, I'm good at this stuff. When they get here, I'm going to watch for your name and make sure I send you the set of samples I have here now.
oh, I can take them now if you’d prefer. I was actually trying not to be a pain by saying I could wait.

By the way, you’ve been tremendously helpful with my stupid questions lately. Thank you.

@mrblaine do you intend to only sell the acetal version once a final design is settled? I still have an aluminum set that I have not installed due to interference with aftermarket swing bumper latch. When I got the bumper I had to ditch the factory license plate hanger and go with Rough County one (it's the only RC) product I own). Your license plate bracket would place the license plate behind the bumper latch and I assume get me pulled over. Anyway, once I figure that out I think I will be wishing I bought the acetal version. The aluminum set I have on my workbench is exceptionally nice, actually a bit of overkill.

No, both versions will be available.

Mine came last week.

They are sooooo nice. I will post installed some pics once I get some decent shots. Daytime may be better.

Well thought out, great instructions, beautiful workmanship.

Really glad these came out- I can’t imagine a better taillight for my black LJR.

Here we go. My back up camera did not make things any easier- It will get re-positioned.

I don’t think I’ve ever worked with a nicer aftermarket product. They are a far cry from the trailer lights that decorated the rear ends for 3 decades.

Now people can get the message that this big brake kit is about to slow things down in traffic.

If possible, the light mount goes behind the license plate. I need to introduce you to the small profile coax cable ends for the antenna cables. They are pretty nifty and allow more locations for the cable to exit the vehicle easily.

Cool -

that entire antenna mount stood the light off- plus it blocks the tub hole upper radius , needs removed and ground to allow the wires to go in easier

makes total sense on the light - I’m laughing- I bet that made you cringe- does me now , plus the plate is doing the wire no good - That reminds me of when people yell at a bum “get a job!”. Uh, He’s got his underwear on outside his pants, I don’t think he’s got his resume polished up.

First thing I realized is you’ve really got to pay attention to the instructions on the side marker wires routing going down over- these things are true low profile and there is no extra volume behind the light

I’ve got to go back into it and flip the camera over somehow and make it all jive- will correct that dumbness.

Thats what happens when my wife pushes me to finish so we can go out. She’s a good one so I had to comply.

If you could wash that Jeep it would really set apart how nice those tail lights ......

Grommet in the sheet metal right at the top of the inner fender.

It’s on my list for its’ near daily workover - I’m scared @Irun might see it like that-

I’ve got an entire silly process so I dont scratch the paint-

Low pressure wash

Foam it to lift contaminants

Rinse

Wash with warm water and pristine microfiber wash pad- just agitate

Blot dry with a perfect rag

Drive to dry crevices

Detailer

Stare at it

Turn on the lights and stare at the turn signals

Stare at all of it

Send pictures to people that don’t care

Put it back up and put the sheet over the hood my wife keeps looking for

Alright here we go-

For you guys out there that may not realize whats going on- these are exquisitely crafted led tail lights with side markers that illuminate and blink - my take is they are machined from a chunk of aluminum but Blaine can better explain, and his website has all you need to know.

He is extremely easy to work with and tirelessly supportive.

More accurately, painfully crafted according to my machinist who used to like me some before he did these. They are machined from a solid block of 6061 T6, not because that is some special aluminum, but because that is the only alloy available in that size that is economic. There are lesser strength alloys that would work just fine, they just don't come readily in 1" x 7" wide bar stock and have to be sawn to size out of 1" plate. The saw cuts drive the lower priced alloy up higher than 6061.
He is extremely easy to work with and tirelessly supportive.
I have my moments.

Got mine installed finally as well. Seems like there has to be $20 - $30 of labor time just in packaging for everything. Absolutely 1st class there!

The installation was easy, with the excellent instructions and supplied parts. For the first time, I used a new Klein crimping tool, which made crimping the supplied non-insulated copper butt connectors flawless. Details that others wouldn't even bother with included step down butt connectors, high quality adhesive lined heat shrink, and double sided tape for ensuring the side wires lay as flat as possible in the housings.

Ignoring the 1/16" off at the top tailgate armor, which will be fixed when everything is pulled for painting, here's mine. At the time of getting the lights and license plate re-locator, I wasn't considering the license plate light and didn't get it. If anyone is considering this, get the tail lights, re-locator, and license plate light. You won't be disappointed in anything received!

My time spent packaging is cheaper than what a custom box with foam costs. They want 25 bucks each which is dumb.

The lights are going to fail since you didn't follow the color code. Black, Red, White as the instructions show.
