New soft top won't stay tucked into tub

I recently bought a new soft top from king. It seems to be pretty good quality and all the windows came tinted. However, the back “pillar” or whatever it’s called (piece in between the rear window and quarter window) won’t stay tucked in to the tub, because it’s a little loose. Any remedies for this?

Yes most definitely need ro see what's going on here. Take some pics standing back slightly from the problem areas and point or mark the issues.

My new one is also a tad looser then the old Sierra one I took off. Im also trying to assess where I can add material to create more upward pull I guess

Here’s some pics. You can see that the right side seems to be tighter.

I was thinking of maybe trying rig some elastic or something up, but I’m hoping to find a fix to where I don’t have to

If both sides were equally loose and the bows are maxed out, I would have suggested adding some pipe insulation.

If all I saw was the floppy corner and wasn't aware of the brand name of the top, I would suspect that the rear bow is over-bent. And the fix would be to open up the 90° bend above the rear wheel a little bit at a time until the corner fabric tightens up.

"bought a new soft top from king" whatever that really means, may be enough to know it wasn't a Bestop. Also seeing the larger but thinner clear plastic piece may also suggest that it isn't the rear bow.

I may be way off on all that but it sure looks like a cheap, probably chinese top to me.

A couple/few years ago, I did something against a rock wall that resulted in the original Mopar soft top becoming floppy at a corner. After a quick look, is was clear that I bent the rear bow more than it had been. I fixed it as I described by supporting the bend with a block of wood on the wheel well, holding the B pillar attachment in one hand and the rear upper end in the other hand, and pulled down to spread open the bend.

I tested the soft top fit a few times and repeated until I liked the tension. I have no idea if I maxed out anything. All I cared about was getting the soft top tight on the frame again. Which I did.

That same frame currently lives happily under a BesTop Replace A Top, which is quite snug.

I don't know anything about King soft tops either, btw. This is the first I have been made aware of them.

That makes sense, it's mainly that thinner clear plastic piece in the second picture that's throwing me way off.

I regularly have to do this to mine as I seem to whack against trees and rocks here in the tight NE trails we run.

As others have mentioned, I suspect the rear bow is probably the issue.
The Bestop brackets have extra holes in them to allow the frame to be adjusted as the fabric stretches out, does the top you have also have these holes on the pivot brackets?
