I'm old enough to know better, and though I assign a high value to the trait of humility in every situation; I can't help but experience a sense of superior Jeeper status when I'm the open Jeep in this situation. The open Jeep is inherently more badass, and therefore, the winner of the encounter. Current weather conditions, or complexity of build, are not considered. I'm committed to this perception strongly enough that I once arrived at an October morning visit to my physician with a mild case of hypothermia. Lest you get an impression that I think I'm too tough to be affected by weather, I do have relatively normal limits and will dress my LJ in attire to avoid torrential rain, excessive sweatiness, frostbite, etc. The day I got hypothermia felt waaaay colder than the 45° it was and it caused me to raise my minimum open Jeep temperature. But if close it up and encounter another Jeeper with an open Jeep, I'll be mad about it for the rest of the day.
