Can someone explain how and why Powertrax no-slip won't click or ratchet like other lockers?

Hoping someone can help me understand why a Powertrax no-slip locker in the front apparently doesn't click or ratchet like other auto lockers do. I've read all the threads here on the Powertrax, in addition to researching elsewhere, and I see plenty of testimonials on this topic, but none really go into detail on what the difference is between it and others and why or how Powertrax is able to accomplish this when others seemingly don't.

I've got the Dana 30/35 in my 4.0 and will be bumping up from 31s to 33s at some point and will regear and lock at the same time, while also beefing up the rear axle in the process to accommodate an e-locker there. Any input and expertise would be appreciated!

That's normal and the key great trait the No-Slip is famous for, no audible clicking or ratcheting. I had that same locker in my previous TJ and loved its silent operation.

Good to hear. Any insight on why it's apparently quiet when the other options out there aren't? Different design or functional approach?

Who knew Google answered questions? Every time I Use Google, it only comes back with pictures. I Googled tennis elbow and got this.

If the Google link didn't bring the answer you want, the no slip has some additional parts that act as ramps, holding the drive gear and side gear apart once they separate, and hold them apart until the end if the turn (when both sides are spinning the same speed).

All I found were ads and where to buy but nothing with any detail as to how/why it operates as it does. This is helpful; much appreciated!

Segue question: Sounds like the noslip would wear less? Seems to me that the "clickers" would tend to wear more? Or is that a non-issue?

I would think so, but it only matters if wear is an issue with the clickers. I don't know whether it is or not. The forces between them when ratcheting is nowhere near that of a gear tooth interface, Fwiw.
