Snow trip to Pinecrest. Puked diff fluid every where but the kiddos had fun.
Merry Christmas everyone!
I have a question. What kind of tires do you guys use for the snow here in NorCal? I'm planning to head up to the Truckee area for some wheeling, but have to get tires for my recently finished Jeep build. What do you recommend?
I was thinking about KO2s too. Seems perfect for a daily with some snow runs. A lot of people hate on them, but I don't think they are that bad.I liked my KO2’s in the snow.
I ran KO’s a few tires before these and those really stunk.
Probably any tires that is snow/ice rated will be ok. Unless you go for a full winter tire but I don’t think unless your in winter conditions all the time the cost / Benefit is there
KO2s are nice on our JL as well. The only situation where my MTRs have outperformed @Thunderhead and @bobthetj03 was in snotty mud. The KO2s always shine on the snow runs.I was thinking about KO2s too. Seems perfect for a daily with some snow runs. A lot of people hate on them, but I don't think they are that bad.
I think I will go for the KO2s. It's gonna be perfect this week, but I have to get the alignment done and the rear track bar installed.KO2s are nice on our JL as well. I can't remember what radio you have in your jeep. Is it a Ham radio with the mod so you can tx GMRS?I’m doing Uncle Tom’s Cabin on New Years Day, starting in Georgetown at 8:30 am if anyone is interested.

Don’t know for sure but we used to hit the Cal-Fire NYP repeater from G-town@DrDmoney, do you know if you can hit the Auburn repeater from Georgetown?

It’s a dual band so UHF and VHF, I have GMRS but did not have to do anything to it.I can't remember what radio you have in your jeep. Is it a Ham radio with the mod so you can tx GMRS?
